Specifications include, but are not limited to: The MEM shall furnish to the OWNER (El Paso Water Utilities – Public Service Board) new membrane elements, inter-element connectors, related appurtenances, and other services described herein through the MSC to produce the required quantity and quality of permeate from the specified raw water quality in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The MSC shall furnish new permeate adapters, thrust cones, related appurtenances, and other services as described herein. The MSC shall supply and install all of the above components for five (5) existing reverse osmosis (RO) trains at the OWNER’S Kay Bailey Hutchinson (KBH) Desalination Facility (10751 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79935). Each membrane train currently consists 72, 8-inch diameter, 7-element long pressure vessels arranged in a 48:24 array and has a permeate production capacity of 3.0 million gallons per day (mgd). With the exception of replacing the membrane elements, inter-element connectors, permeate adapters, thrust cones, and related appurtenances with new components, no modifications shall be made to the existing RO membrane units. No modifications shall be made to the existing membrane feed pumping units. No modifications shall be made to the existing instrumentation and control system.
