Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Survey tasks and protocols, processing of survey documents, onsite inspections and/or survey of long-term care providers – such as Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, Day Activity Health Service, Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID), or Home Health and Hospice providers - to determine compliance with all state and federal laws, rules and regulations. Review and discuss survey findings with care-provider administrators, officials and/or managers, including: explaining and clarifying areas of noncompliance; problems and discrepancies; participating in exit meetings and agencies staff meetings; reviewing plans of correction for deficiencies, conducting complaint and incident investigations. b. Receive training and assist in gathering evidence for cases that may require legal action, provide testimony before judicial bodies when necessary, and as directed. As assigned, analyze data collected during the survey process and prepare reports. As assigned, attend in-service training and training programs. As assigned, serve as a member of a disaster recovery/business resumption team, incident response team, or similar public health response team which may include the conduct of operations on a 24/7 basis at remote locations throughout the region. c. Notify supervisor of any problems that may jeopardize meeting time frames.
