DPS is inviting vendors to bid on a generator project to remove an existing generator, provide temporary generator service, and installation of a generator to underground utilities with an automatic transfer switch. In general, the work includes, but is not limited to, the following items: 1. Investigate and mark existing underground utilities. 2. Remove portions of existing paving and landscape as required for new conduits and concrete pads. 3. Complete excavations for new automatic transfer switch (ATS) pad and conduits. 4. Install undergrounds conduits feeding to new ATS. 5. Tie ATS to primary. 6. Locate portable generator to site and connect to new ATS to energize service. a. This will be Add Alternate #1. 7. Remove existing 450kw emergency generator. 8. Demolish existing generator pad and excavate for new pad and conduits. 9. Form and place new generator pad. 10. After minimum 28 days cure, provide and install a new 1000KW 125kva 480/277V three phase diesel generator, 2,500-gallon belly tank, attached maintenance platform, including Level 2 sound enclosure and all associated conduits, switches, and conductors.
