Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. General Specifications of Hose Bed Covers a) Color: Red b) Average size: 6 ft. X 12 ft. with 2 ft. overhang at the rear of the hose bed cover. c) Fabrication of smaller flaps (approximately 2.5 ft. X 2 ft.) or transitional covers (approximately 2.5 ft. X 11 ft. with button snaps) d) Heavy-duty vinyl, 22 oz. or better e) High UV resistant vinyl 2. Fabrication of New Hose Bed Covers a) Cost per square foot for fabrication of a hose bed cover with attachment snaps sufficient to hold cover in place. b) Button snaps, no more than 15 inches between snaps and 2 twist locks at the corners no more than 3” from the corner. c) Bungee fastening system (bungee and hook). This could be requested in place of the button snap system. d) Hose bed to have 3-inch heavy duty webbing with seat belt-like attachment to hold down salvage cover and keep hose in place at the rear of the unit. Other fastening systems will be considered as long as the hold comply with NFPA 1901 requirement to keep hose in bed. e) Approximately 1-inch round “lead shot” filled weighted rear flap. f) 12X12 inch reinforcement patch at the rear edge of each divider between different size hose g) Measuring: Onsite / Facility h) Installation: Onsite / Facility i) Warranty 3.
