Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1. Project Management a. Prior to beginning work, submit a baseline project work schedule to the LCRA Lead Engineer and Project Manager for approval. b. Track scope, schedule, and work execution. This assumes a 12-month project duration through construction. c. Prepare, coordinate, and manage Quality Control (QC)/Quality Assurance (QA) by Professional Senior Management and Technical Staff. d. Coordinate meetings/conference calls for kickoff and interim reviews. e. Coordinate bi-weekly (twice monthly) meetings to discuss progress. f. Develop and provide monthly one-page status reports, including financial information, to accompany invoices. 1.2. Site Visit and Bank Assessment a) Perform site visit to allow the engineering team to become familiar with the project site and current state of the damaged bank. In addition, perform field reconnaissance to aid in the development of the geotechnical investigation. Prepare a site visit report documenting existing conditions. b) Participate in a meeting to discuss existing data, risk register, design criteria, permitting strategy, schedule and overall project coordination. 1.3. Geotechnical Investigation a) Develop a field exploration plan which includes proposed soil boring locations, soil sampling plan, and laboratory testing program. The field exploration plan must support the development of appropriate soil index and engineering properties to be used in design. It is anticipated that the investigation plan will include up to two borings with depths not to exceed 120 ft each. b) Mobilize and perform exploration of areas of interest in accordance to the approved investigation plan. Investigation may be performed by Professional’s sub-consultant under the supervision of Professional’s geotechnical engineering staff. Samples are to be collected in the field and transported to the laboratory for soils testing, including index properties, and strength parameters. c) Develop geotechnical data report documenting the geotechnical investigation performed and testing results. d) Prepare geotechnical design memorandum to include geotechnical engineering analyses for the project. e) Draft and final geotechnical data reports and geotechnical design memorandum shall be issued in electronic (.pdf) format. f) Issue draft report for LCRA review and address LCRA comments in the final report.
