Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The Contractor shall provide filter media with the following specifications: Filter Media Specifications Silica Sand Filter Anthracite Effective Size 0.45mm0.55mm 0.90mm1.00mm Uniformity Coefficient 1.4 1.4 B. The Contractor shall supply material in packaged semi-bulk containers (sometimes called “superbags”) with lifting sleeves and bottom discharge spouts. C. Each packaged container should contain approximately 2,000 – 4,000 pounds. D. Each batch or lot number of filter media must be accompanied by a laboratory report identifying that the filter media meets specifications. E. The Contractor will charge freight per filter. a. Orders will be made for multiple filters at a time by requesting full truck loads in order to maximize shipping costs. b. A quote for a discounted freight charge for multiple filter orders will be requested.
