Specifications include, but are not limited to: A.Typical drive shaft repairs include, but are not limited to: heavy duty drive shaft welding, straightening, fabrication, balancing and alignment on drive shafts up to 12’ in length and weighing up to 400 lbs., repair, rebuild, or replace drive shaft components, including u-joints, slip yokes, and tubing.B.All repairs will be conducted offsite at the Contractor’s repair shop. The City will be responsible for the delivery and pick up of the drive shaft to and from the Contractor’s place of business. For drive shaft repair shops located outside the Corpus Christi city limits, the Contractor will be responsible for picking up the drive shaft within 24 hours of service call and shall return it to the City upon completion.C.The Contractor shall perform work in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and/or recommendations, as applicable.D.All parts shall be purchased in accordance with nameplate/drive shaft specifications and shall be original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts or equivalent to OEM.E.All overtime hours must be approved and authorized in writing by a City representative.
