Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful Bidder(s) shall provide document translation services in two (2) critical languages spoken in Harris County including Spanish and Vietnamese on an as-needed basis. Other languages may be added as needed. CSD is seeking a translation organization that will specialize in adapting content from English to other languages, while keeping tone and context intact. The materials intended for translation will range from written text to audio, video presentation and other modes of communication as needed. Bidder must include a sample translated document in the two (2) critical languages. The translated services will be utilized by several Divisions within CSD. Services are needed to ensure that customers with limited English proficiencies can comprehend the services being provided to the public. All documents, flyers, brochures, and/or website content of CSD must be translated to keep households informed in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese languages about programs and services. The County will attempt to provide two (2) weeks advance notice, but the ability to translate text with less advance notice is also sought. Occasionally, CSD requires a very fast turnaround for emergency translations.
