Specifications include, but are not limited to: Brazoria County is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from competent firms, registered to practice in the State of Texas, who can adequately demonstrate they have the resources, experience and qualifications to perform Plans, Specifications, Estimate (PS&E), Environmental Studies or Permits and related services for the design of a new Alvin Annex Building for Brazoria County. Brazoria County intends to enter into a professional services contract for design services for the Brazoria County Alvin Annex which is to be located in Alvin, Texas on or near Victory Lane, N. Gordon St. and SH 35 By-pass. Brazoria County intends for this building to designed similar to our Lake Jackson Annex located at 202 Peach street in Lake Jackson Texas. A floor plan will be made available to the selected design firm. The building is estimated to be a 1 story with approx. 26,000 SF PEMB with Brick Façade on steel stud framing and a standing seam roof. It will be designed to meet a minimum Inland I windstorm requirements. The Building will have multiple mechanical mezzanines. BC may have specific design criteria, notes and or details to incorporate. The building will contain (2) JP Courts, both with supporting clerks, and (2) Constable areas (The building may require straddling the Pct. Boundary line, or a future redrawn boundary line). The building will also house Brazoria County Health and WIC offices, Tax office, Clerk, etc. and may incorporate shell space for future growth.
