Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this study is to analyze traffic conditions to determine current and future deficiencies and needs within the corridor and identify possible immediate, mid-term and longterm solutions for safety, capacity and other operational enhancements. The study area will include the entire DNT corridor and future extensions up to the Grayson County line. DNT Corridor Study will employ leadership with national and international expertise and include the investigation of a multitude of safety and congestion mitigation strategies including but not limited to Ramp Alternatives, Access Control, Variable Speed Limits, Contraflow Lanes, Emerging Technology, Tolling Strategies, Park and Ride Facilities, Bus on Shoulder, Express Transit Routes, and other Active Traffic Demand Management solutions.
