A. The Contractor shall provide service in accordance with The American Society for Anesthesiologists "Guidelines for Office-Based Anesthesia" and The American Dental Association's "Guidelines for the Use of Sedation and General Anesthesia by Dentists" B. The Contractor shall provide monitoring of the client receiving TIVA in accordance with The American Society for Anesthesiologists "Standards for Basic Aesthetic Monitoring" C. The Contractor shall coordinate services with a single point of contact, the CCSSLC dental Director. D. The Contractor shall provide an anesthesia report or similar documentation that shall include a review of data to determine if the client is demonstrating a positive reaction to the TIVA to determine if further use is indicated. TIVA services will be determined to be beneficial for the client based upon the Dental Anesthesiologist report and documentation of the client's need and outcome of using TIVA. Documentation may include but is not limited to: • Immediate pre-anesthesia assessment and evaluation (e.g., change in health status, reevaluation of "nothing by mouth", known as NPO status) • Anesthesia safety checks (e.g., check of equipment, drugs supply, gas supply) • Monitoring of the patient (e.g., oxygenation, ventilation, circulation, body temperature, skeletal muscle relaxation) • Airway management techniques • Name, dosage, route, and time of administration of drugs and anesthetics • Technique(s) used and patient positioning (e.g., document who positioned the patient, type of position used) • Name and amounts of IV fluids (e.g., when applicable blood and blood products) • lntravenous/intravascular lines inserted (e.g., techniques for insertion, location) • Any complications, adverse reactions, or problems during anesthesia • Status of the patient at the conclusion of anesthesia • Documentation in a timely and legible manner
