Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.2.1Document writing, editing, and critique. Review proposals at various stages of the development process. Proposals may be in the form of a letter of intent, concept paper, preliminary proposal, or a full proposal, including supplementary documentation specified in the funding opportunity. Actions may include, but not be limited to, providing templates; data analysis (e.g., demographic, labor trends/projections); reviewing the draft for organization and flow, responsive to the funding opportunity, program design;substantive/developmental editing; proofreading/formatting. May include meetings or phone calls with the research team.1.2.2Facilitation of peer reviews. Identify appropriate external subject matter experts and program experts to serve on a review panel, coordinate the review panel’s timeline, create reviewer evaluation forms tailored for specific needs of programs, facilitate the review, distribute and collect relevant documentation within the agreed upon timeframe, consolidate and assess reviewer feedback to maximize the usefulness of the review process to the university. 1.2.3Limited submission selections. For funding opportunities limiting the number of submissions from an institution, advise leadership on the competitiveness of the proposed projects. Activities may include reviewing short (1-3 page) concept papers, viewing presentations by faculty, attending meetings or phone calls, or participating in other aspects of an internal competition to aid leadership in selecting theproposed projects that should be developed and put forward for a limited submission proposal. 1.2.4Coordinate site visits (pre and/or post award). Development of schedule and milestones, event strategy and site logistics, coaching on overall approach and/or specific presentations and sessions.1.2.5Administrative support. Services may include facilitating meetings, organizing workshops, coordinating program activities, preparing and distributing reports.
