Software Requirements: The construction management software must possess the following features and functionalities: 3.1 Hosted: The software must be web-based and hosted by the provider. This provider must be GDPR compliant. 3.2 Updates and Back-ups: The provider must provide software updates and provide backups for all documents and data uploaded to the provider’s site. 3.3 Offline Mode: The software must have an offline mode to allow updates to be input while not connected to the internet. The software must update once the app is connected to the internet. 3.4 Security: Must have robust security features to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards: 3.4a - Data Encryption: Data should be encrypted both in transit and at rest to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access. Look for software that uses strong encryption standards such as AES-256. 3.4b - User Authentication and Authorization: The software should support secure authentication mechanisms, such as multifactor authentication (MFA), to verify user identities.
