Custom-Built Bridge Wash Unit The following specifications are intended to describe the minimum requirements for the fabrication and installation of a trailer-mounted custom bridge wash unit. All equipment and components shall be new, of current manufacture, and installed to provide a complete, fully functional system. General Requirements • Unit shall be designed for heavy-duty, continuous service in municipal bridge washing operations. • All components shall be securely mounted on a trailer platform with materials and labor included for full installation. • Contractor shall provide complete system testing and demonstration upon delivery. Tank • One (1) 1000-gallon elliptical tank, mounted on cradle with straps. • Equipped with 2” cam lock tank fill connection. • 1” ball valve on-site water outlet. Pump & Power • One (1) GX800 Honda engine on mounting base • Belt-driven plunger pump, rated at 4.5 GPM @ 5,000 PSI. • Includes inlet filter, electric start, battery, and battery maintainer. • One (1) 11-gallon aluminum fuel tank with gauge. Plumbing • Inlet and bypass plumbing from tank. • High-pressure plumbing from pump unit to hose reel. • Low water safety shut-off system. Hose Reel & Hoses • One (1) Hannay 5,000 PSI hose reel with guide roller assembly. • One (1) 150’ x 3/8” 5,000 PSI hose assembly with fittings. • Two (2) 75’ x 3/8” 5,000 PSI hose assemblies with fittings.
