Specifications include, but are not limited to: HCDE is looking to obtain proposals from vendors that can provide supplemental services to out-of-school time programs during the out-of-school time-frame. Once approved, vendors are eligible to receive contracts from HCDE’s CASE for Kids division as well as participating area school districts (see Section 4.6). Services must integrate numeracy/ literacy activities or other learning objectives into the vendor’s content area of expertise. Services can serve youth in grades K-12 and/or their respective adult/family members. Vendors must be able to provide their services inside an existing out-of-school time program which can include summer camps, daycares, schools, parks programs, and college/university campuses throughout Harris and surrounding counties. CASE for Kids seeks vendors that can demonstrate the following: Ability to provide unique content-based services to out-of-school programs. Ability to set hourly fee for service by service area. Capacity to provide services in one or more out-of-school time programs. Ability to provide age and developmentally appropriate literacy/numeracy or other opportunities that lead to knowledge acquisition as evidenced by the Vendor Project Information form. Using the academic resources provided by CASE for Kids, incorporate either literacy/numeracy or other elements into current vendor lesson plans
