Specifications include, but are not limited to: A) Bulk Gasoline Must have the following minimum octane ratings: Regular unleaded: 87 Octane Mid-grade unleaded: 89 Octane Premium unleaded: 92 Octane The octane rating shall be determined by adding the research octane number (RON) and the motor octane number (MON), then dividing by two (2). It is not acceptable to mix or blend lower octane rated gasoline with higher octane rated gasoline to meet minimum specified requirements. All grades of gasoline furnished and delivered shall contain required rust inhibitors, oxidation inhibitors and detergent additives for use in, and recommended for, engines with fuel injector systems. B) Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel Vendor shall provide undyed diesel fuel only (except if otherwise requested by department). Harris County will not accept any bio fuel. Harris County does not require any additives for fuel. The fuel must be temperature-controlled at sixty (60) degrees Fahrenheit (F) per net gallon using vehicles that have the following: 1. Verifiable accurate diesel fuel measuring system, 2. Vapor recovery systems, 3. State certified tank capacities.
