Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Provide surplus property removal and disposal of same, via public auction, in a timely, efficient and effective manner, assume and fulfill all services specified by the University including but not limited to the following: • Surplus assets will be sold by public auction, with required public notice of the auction made by the auctioneer. • Surplus assets will be sold “as is, where is” to the highest bidder • Auctioneer will supply experienced personnel and equipment to transport surplus items from the University’s Facilities Management and Construction (FMC) surplus property storage area, located in the Central Services Building at 2700 Bay Area Boulevard or other locations and/or campuses of the University to the Auctioneer’s facility. • Auctioneer will supply experienced personnel and equipment to conduct online auctions. • Auctioneer will supply experienced personnel and equipment to conduct auctions on campus at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, 2700 Bay Area Boulevard, Houston TX 77058. • Auctioneer will provide proof of liability and worker’s compensation insurance for personnel and equipment used to load, transport, and prepare surplus equipment for auction. • Auctioneer will load, transport, advertise, clean, and set up surplus assets for sale. • Auctioneer will pay the university an agreed upon commission of the gross proceeds of the auction sale. Commission may differ for separate categories of assets, to be defined in the contract terms. • Proceeds will be deposited by the Auctioneer in an escrow account as required by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations, and commissions from the sale will be delivered to the University within 10 working days of the auction.
