Specifications include, but are not limited to: The San Antonio Water System (“SAWS”) is seeking qualified firms to provide consulting and program management services in AMI for SAWS. The AMI Consultant shall work with SAWS leadership and staff to produce a comprehensive Pilot (the “Pilot”) that will evaluate and test various use cases and assumptions that may eventually lead to a full-scale roll out Pilot. If the Pilot proves to be successful based on the outlined criteria, the selected Consultant may also be asked to provide AMI Program Management Services, which include AMI contractor/vendor solicitation assistance, AMI construction phase services, and support through the AMI deployment. The AMI program is expected to provide information technology that will: 1) significantly enhance the customer experience by providing more near real-time information to customers about their water usage; 2) enhance analytics and reporting that would improve operational efficiency and reduce costs through remote transmission and central retrieval from water meter reads and capture more lowflow consumption; and 3) improve resiliency and security by optimizing the distribution system and its assets.
