Specifications include, but are not limited to: i. The successful Proposer shall be responsible for every wrecker operator answering any call made by the City (Pilot Point Police Department or any authorized local authority) on a twenty-four (24) hour basis, seven (7) days a week. Every call for the contracted wrecker service shall be responded to (i.e., the wrecker arriving on scene) within twenty (20) minutes on a consistent basis. Such notification is to be rendered to the successful Proposer at a single telephone number to be designated by the successful Proposer. The police dispatcher will log on to the call when contact is made, or attempted to be made with the wrecker, and when the wrecker is on route. Exceptions may be made to this requirement if unforeseen or extenuating circumstances are involved in the judgment of the Chief of Police or his designer. ii. The successful Proposer shall hold all items, materials, equipment, and vehicles towed pursuant to the Wrecker/Towing Service Agreement at a location to be approved by the City or its agent. The successful Proposer shall indemnify the City for all damage or loss to all items, materials, and equipment so held which are not owned by the City and shall be liable to the City for damage or loss to City-owned property or equipment of any kind. The location of the storage facility lot must be inside the City or within fifteen (15) miles of City limits.
