a) Contractor shall provide wound care services and treat RSSLC residents for all spectrums of skin integrity in the inpatient and outpatient setting. b) Contractor shall provide wound care for medically fragile individuals with acute and complicated wound care needs. c) Services are to be performed by Contractor on a routine schedule and in a timely manner and as necessary for the health and welfare of the individuals who reside at RSSLC. d) Contractor shall visit the facility on a weekly basis or as needed to see residents to provide specialized treatment and shall collaborate with RSSLC primary care providers and nurses for wound care management. e) Contractor shall manage pressure ulcers, infectious wounds, injury wounds, or any wounds that have failed improvement with primary care management. f) Contractor shall have knowledge of methods and procedures in the field of general medicine and of the principle of development, implementation, and documentation of individualized care and treatment. g) Contractor must be skilled in the care and treatment of patients with intellectual disabilities. h) Contractor must be skilled in the use of medical diagnostics and wound care management. i) Contractor will provide training to healthcare staff and direct care staff on the care of wounds as needed. j) Contractor will provide a progress report with documentation of assessment and plan for each patient evaluated for the PCP to review. k) Contractor must provide a contractor log sheet each time they perform services on campus. l) Contractor must be board certified or eligible in the specialty of wound care and hold an active Texas Medical License without any restrictions. m) Contractor must have and maintain good standing with the Texas Medical Board. n) It is preferred that the Contractor’s physical office is located within 50 miles of Richmond SSLC.
