This work supports the implementation of the AirCheckTexas Vehicle Emissions I/M program. The current versions of software on the analyzers are proprietary and licensed for the sole use of the particular analyzer on which it resides. Modifications can only be performed by the manufacturer who produced the analyzer. Worldwide Environmental Products, Inc. is one of the manufacturers that produces and sells analyzer for use by the I/M program. Under this procurement, Worldwide agrees to provide any necessary software update services to accommodate current and future I/M program changes, which will be specified, in writing, by a Purchase Order Change Notice (POCN) issued by TCEQ. When future POCNs are issued, Worldwide will be required to make changes to the software as necessary, conduct internal testing to ensure that the software functions properly, submit the software for certification testing, install the software in the analyzer for ‘beta’ testing, and successfully install the software in the fleet of analyzers operating in the Austin-Round Rock, El Paso, Houston-Galveston-Brazoria, and Dallas-Fort Worth areas at no cost to the vehicle emissions inspection stations. The San Antonio area (Bexar County) will begin emissions testing on November 1, 2026, and will be added to the included areas during the term of this agreement.
