Offeror must be a full service Welding/Fabrication operation capable of a variety services, including but not limited to, straightening, rolling, cutting, fabricating, rebuilding, mig, and tig welding. Vendor must have demonstrated ability to perform these services; demonstrated ability include, but are not limited to references, past performance with the City of Galveston, and qualifications such as certificates and number of years in business. Some services include welding burglar bars in window frames, building headache racks on crew trucks, and other miscellaneous welding repairs to equipment, pumps, backhoes, and bucket trucks, etc. The list is not inclusive, but a guideline. Vendor should provide, in the invoice, a detailed list of services performed and include any unit numbers, location of service, and any other pertinent information to the repair, build, or fabrication. Vendor must provide a minimum thirty (30) day warranty on all work/services performed for the City. Any work that is deemed inferior or unacceptable by the City, or its representatives, shall be corrected at no additional cost to the City of Galveston. Delivery of services shall be required at no additional cost to the City of Galveston to the desired locations. The contractor shall be required to have in stock a sufficient supply of resources in order to satisfy the needs of the City. If unavailable from stock, it shall be the contractor’s responsibility to obtain the same welding services from some other source.
