It is the intent of these specifications that the contractor furnishes any of the following: -Sulfur Dioxide (gas) -Chlorine (gas) -Sodium Hypochlorite (12% Solution) -Liquid Ammonium Sulfate (40% Solution) -Dewatering Chemicals (Polymer) that the City of Galveston requires during the period of the agreement. The City reserves the right to order such quantities as it requires, and the City also reserves the right not to order any quantities during the period of the agreement. All quantities listed are only estimates based on prior years’ usage and are for acquainting the bidder with probable usage. These estimates are not intended to set forth minimum or maximum quantities of this contract. Delivery shall be required at no additional cost to the City of Galveston to the desired City locations. All prices quoted shall include delivery to the City of Galveston. The contractor shall be required to have in its stock enough to supply the reasonable demands of the City promptly upon request. If unavailable from stock, it shall be the contractor’s responsibility to obtain the same material from some other source. In the ITB# 26-01 WWTP Chemicals Page | 11 event the contractor fails to secure the required material within forty-eight (48) hours, the City shall have the option to obtain the required material from an independent source. Any attempt by the contractor to substitute and make delivery of material other than the brand or trade name proposed, without prior written approval by the City, will be sufficient grounds for immediate cancellation of the contract.
