The work of this contract includes labor and materials to replace approximately 19,000 existing residential, commercial, and industrial water meters with new advanced ultrasonic, and/or electromagnetic battery-powered meters, and/or acoustic leak detection function meters, and an upgraded AMI system. Fifty (50) 3-inch remote meters with radio system or cellular endpoints will be supplied to the City for use on its fire hydrant connections. A propagation study has to be submitted with the bid proposal. The system shall include endpoints, collectors/gateways, all software, including the Meter Data Management, Consumer Portal, Installation Software, provide customer and technical support, and all other necessary equipment for a complete and operable system. A network design is required in the Contractor’s response that certifies data collector quantities and related equipment required to provide 98% readability in a 72-hour period as a minimum.
