The water distribution balance framework is critical for the effective distribution and transfer of water within EPWater’s network. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to: • Sites’ investigations – conduct site visits and inspections to evaluate facilities, flow control, and pressure equipment when required. • Hydraulic assessment – evaluate flow capacities under varying supply and demand scenarios, identify restrictions and/or bottlenecks. • Hydraulic modeling - to include hydraulic evaluation during peak summer, winter months, and scenarios with and without surface water, and during “shoulder” months. • Provide improvement recommendations and cost estimates to include potential upgrades and modifications, and identify O&M considerations. • EPWater operates a number of water transfer stations that utilize elevation differentials to move water between pressure zones. A thorough evaluation is required to determine the current condition and performance, identify deficiencies, and develop recommendations for improvements. • Evaluate and determine effective service areas (i.e., by hydraulic grade line, topography, demand) for water supply sources under different demand scenarios, accounting for seasonal variability. Provide for facilities improvements.
