General Scope of Work The purpose of this document is to outline the specifications for the procurement of a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Heavy-Duty Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) system. The vendor shall provide the UGV platform, all required components as specified herein, spare parts, freight to the specified Texas A&M-RELLIS campus location, and on-site training. 2.0 UGV Platform: Base Requirements 2.1 Physical Specifications • Weight: The base platform weight shall be approximately 725 lbs. • Dimensions: The platform dimensions shall be approximately 78” (Length) x 48” (Width) x 35” (Height). • Ground Clearance: Must have a ground clearance of 24 inches. 2.2 Performance Specifications • Top Speed: Must achieve a minimum top speed of 25 mph. • Payload Capacity: The UGV must support a payload of at least 500 lbs. • Operational Endurance: The onboard power system must support: o Minimum 10 hours of continuous transit at top speed. o Minimum 200 hours of stationary loitering/surveillance. • Traversable Terrain: Must be capable of navigating terrain with slopes up to 35 degrees. 2.3 System Specifications • Control: The system must be capable of being operated via teleoperation / remote control. • Communications: The system must include a satellite-based communications link for beyond-line-ofsight command and control. • Available Power: The platform must provide onboard 5V, 12V, and 48V power outputs to support attached payloads. 3.0 Required System Components 3.1 Integrated Sensor Suite • The UGV must be delivered with the following sensors fully integrated and operational: o Forward-facing monochromatic visual sensor. o Rear-facing monochromatic visual sensor. o Forward-facing infrared sensor. o Rear-facing infrared sensor. o Forward-facing thermal sensor. o Rear-facing thermal sensor.
