Specifications include, but are not limited to: Unarmed Security Services - Provide on-site unarmed uniformed security guard service at the Austin State Hospital to protect patients, personnel and the premises. The contract security officers will be responsible for providing access control and COVID screening (verbal) for all person(s) entering the campus. Additionally, the contract security officer will be required for enforcing the donning of a facial covering for all person(s) entering the campus, regardless of the local, state or federal mask requirements. a. Security Guards must be familiar with all entry control/access control requirements for entry to the Austin State Hospital. The security guard(s) on duty, must at all times, without exception, be courteous, exercise tact and diplomacy in their daily contact with the staff and public. Disrespectful conduct will not be tolerated. b. The Security Guard will report to 4110 Guadalupe Street, Austin Texas, 78751. The oncoming officer must relieve the present officer to ensure there is no absence of an officer on site at any time. Officers may be required to work beyond an eight-hour work shift to ensure continuous coverage.
