1. Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is soliciting bids for two (2) canopied boat storage wet slip spaces of a combined minimum of 1,465 square feet to be located within close proximity of Galveston Jetties, in Galveston County, in accordance with the following specifications. 1.1. Two (2) canopied wet slip boat storage spaces to meet or exceed the following: A. One (1) canopied wet slip boat storage space with: 1) Adequate dock space of at least 1,105 square feet to accommodate a 65’ by 17’ boat with 6’ water draw 2) Full finger piers of adequate strength for securing boat 3) Minimum of one (1) tie-off piling at each end 4) Heavy duty mooring cleats located at base, middle, and end of both side of slip 5) Provide no less than six (6) feet of water at low tide inside slip 6) Potable water service at boat slip for washing of boat and mechanic use 7) Shore power outlet at boat slip with minimum of 70-amps, 220-volts B. One (1) canopied wet slip boat storage space with: 1) Adequate dock space of at least 360 square feet to accommodate a 30’ by 12’ boat 2) Minimum canopy height of eighteen (18) feet 3) Must be equipped with boat lift with a minimum 14,000-pound lift capacity 4) Access to either tide risers, rope slides, or a floating dock to compensate for tide fluctuations 5) Provide adequate slip water depth to prevent low-tide grounding 6) Potable water service at slip for washing of boat 7) Shore power outlet at boat slip with minimum of 30-amps, 125-volts 1.2. Facility must be located within close proximity to the Galveston Jetties and the Gulf of Mexico without obstruction or hinderances to water-emergency response. 1.3. Facility shall include the following: A. Accessibility twenty-four (24) hours/seven (7) days a week B. On-site restrooms for use twenty-four (24) hours/seven (7) days a week C. Adequate dusk to dawn outdoor lighting to promote safe working environment. D. Lessor shall pay all monthly electric and water utility bills and include in rental cost. E. Lessor shall be responsible for maintaining lockable properly functioning doors and remain functional during power outages. F. Lessor shall be required to respond on-site within two (2) hours of agency reporting an emergency issue, including but not limited to power outages. G. Lessor shall be required to respond on or before the next business day for non- emergency service calls.
