Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project consists of fabrication and delivery of two (2) new tubular steel monopoles including preassembled anchor bolt cages, top plates, base plates, vangs, brackets, connection assemblies, protective coatings, and all transmission line appurtenances, hardware, conductor, optical ground wire, and miscellaneous materials as shown in the project bid items and plans. The project is being constructed in conjunction with the new GP&L Millwood Switch. A separate bid solicitation for construction of the transmission line improvements will be issued at a later date. The new structures will be self-supporting on drilled shaft foundations. The structures shall be designed to support one (1) three phase circuit of 1926.9 ACSS/TW “Cumberland” transmission conductor consisting of one (1) wire per phase. The structure will also support one Centracore CC-57/465 Optical Ground Wire (OPGW), and 3/8 inch EHS static wires, all as indicated in the project plans.
