Five (5) Marked Patrol Vehicles month 24; DART seeks Proposals from qualified security firms experienced in providing transit security services in the public sector, and all supervisory and management personnel necessary to provide an effective program. DART requires firms to have a local office, and demonstrate their ability to provide adequate support to the program by providing detailed information about their local presence, number of commissioned officers available locally for emergency support, and local management presence. Experience in transit security is a mandatory requirement and should be demonstrated by providing three references of similar size and scope. This work will be contracted in part or in whole depending on the proposals received by the Agency. The Agency expects the contractor to work with DART Police when and as directed to ensure a cohesive program is protecting DART staff, riders, general public, facilities, and infrastructure. The contracted Company that will provide Transit Trained Level III Officers that will be able to communicate via radio and telephone with Police Dispatch. The security services under this contract will be used to protect DART properties which include at a minimum the following areas of DART operations: • Riding DART Public Transportation Conveyances (light rail trains, streetcars, buses, etc.) throughout the system. • Transit facilities including station platforms; access areas; park-n-rides and garage facilities • DART Bus and Rail Transit Centers and other DART facilities • It specifically excludes any areas (such as a public street) that DART does not have legal control of or own.
