Specifications include, but are not limited to: A contract for services to provide traffic control technician(s) (TCTs) to direct traffic at the Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT’s) ferry vessel staging areas or designated ramps for the loading and unloading of vehicles at Port Aransas, TX. The vendor must: 7.1. Provide all required safety equipment and instruct personnel to observe all safety policies, rules, and requirements at all times including, but not limited to, wearing safety shoes, etc. when performing traffic control services for the ferry operations. The vendor shall provide personnel with all required safety equipment. 7.1.1. Wear safety and personal protection gear during work hours. 7.1.2. All TCT(s) and TCT Supervisor(s) wear steel-toes footwear (approved by ANSI) and comply with all ANSI rules. 7.1.3. Provide vests for its employees that meet requirements of current ANSI/ISEA 107 (2”W Relflective Tape). Vendor logo must: 7.1.3.1. Have one inch reflective lettering with title of worker, “Traffic Control” and “Traffic Control Supervisor” on rear of vest. 7.1.3.2. Be visible in safety vests and raingear. 7.1.4. Provide flashlights for each TCT and TCT Supervisor. 7.2. Notify TxDOT designee immediately of hazardous materials, fuel spills, accidents, injuries, complaints, security issues, or any other situations that would impact the performance of the ferry operations.
