The Intent and Scope of Work: The Corpus Christi Independent School District is soliciting pricing for the minor repair, pouring, finishing of any and all of concrete and asphalt work for sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and parking lots. Work will be of a recurring nature throughout the year. The purpose of this proposal is to qualify and award to those vendors meeting all requirements set forth in this proposal for asphalt and concrete work throughout the year. The District will determine qualified vendor(s) and reserves the right to use one vendor or to quote the proposed job with the awarded vendors. 6.1 Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete Pavement: 6.1.1 General Description: Hot mix asphaltic concrete pavement shall be produced, transported, and applied in accordance with the 1982 "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction" of the Texas Department of Transportation; Item 340 paragraphs 340.1 and 340.6 inclusive. 6.1.2 Specific Requirements: 6.1.2.1 Tack Coat: Tack coat to be in accordance with Section 02558 Asphaltic Tack Coat. 6.1.2.2 Aggregate: Shall be a crushed limestone. 6.1.2.3 Asphaltic Material: Shall be of such grade and from such source known to produce asphaltic concrete meeting these specifications. Grade a source are subject to the approval of the District. 6.1.2.4 Рaving Mixture - Grading of Mineral Aggregate: Shallbe Type "B" (Fine Graded Base or Leveling-up Course). Shall be Type "D" (Fine Graded Surface Course). 6.1.2.5 Thickness: Minimum thickness Type "D" shall be 1½" after compaction. 6.1.2.6 Density and Stability: Stability: Not less than 42 test method THD Bulletin C-14
