Plano ISD invites contractors to bid on the Thomas Elementary School System & Compliance project. The scope of work includes replacement of select RTUs; replacement of one existing boiler with two new boilers; fire alarm system replacement; sprinkler valve replacement; a comprehensive renovation of the HVAC controls system; marquee replacement; and full restroom renovations. Three alternates are included: Alternate No. 1 is to demolish the existing water-cooled chiller and cooling tower and replace them with a new air-cooled chiller and associated primary pump; Alternate No. 2 is to replace the existing air-cooled chiller with a new air-cooled chiller and associated primary pump. Alternate No. 3 is to replace all secondary chilled water pumps. These upgrades will enhance comfort, reliability, and overall building performance to better support the school’s daily operations.
