Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.1. Outreach and collaborate with entities to target the eligible population described in Section 6 of this RFP to develop new Texas high school competitive robotics education teams in the 2017-2018 school year that are comprised of students in grades 9-12 who will participate in a mentor-based, after-school competitive robotics education program during the 2017-2018 school year. Outreach must include: Texas Independent School Districts; Texas high schools; Texas high schools on military bases; Regional Education Service Centers (ESCs) in Texas; or Texas home school organizations. Develop new Texas high school competitive robotics education teams of students in grades 9-12 or develop new teams and support existing Texas high school competitive robotics education teams as defined in Sections 16.1 and 16.2 of this RFP. Assist teams to secure local commitment(s) of cash or in-kind contributions for the program to provide support that is not covered by the grant. Assist teams to plan for and secure local financial support to sustain the teams once the grant period has ended.
