This project will provide a new Operations and Maintenance Facility for TRWD to be located on a 23.5-acre site that TRWD acquired at the southeast corner of I-820 N and Old Decatur Road in Fort Worth, TX. Proposed Buildings include a Main Administration, Storage, Floodway Operations & Construction, Fleet Maintenance & Tool Crib, Vehicle & Equipment Covered Storage, Vehicle & Equipment Wash Bay, Fuel Island with Canopy, Welding Shop, Law Enforcement Division, Purchasing Warehouse and Bulk Storage. The buildings are primarily tilt-wall construction with metal roofing and slab on grade. The one exception is the Main Administration Building which is primarily Steel frame with an area of concrete construction to house TRWD’s critical infrastructure. It is expected that Deep Dynamic Compactions is anticipated to be required for all structures and flat work. A specification has been provided to provide the basis of that work.
