Located on university-owned property on the campus of The University of Texas at Dallas, this Project will provide housing and support amenities for Phase I of a II Phase expansion of housing on campus. Phase I of this multi-story Project will contain 1,000 rooms in apartment-style units. The Owner will require the Architect/Engineer to review several options during the Definition Phase of the Project which is inclusive of OPR, Program, and Schematic Design which may include but may not be limited to light gauge metal, other structural options, UT design guidelines, and systems more in line with typical multifamily construction, other system solutions, adjustment of room mix to include multi-occupant apartments, etc. This process may require early Life Cycle Costs Analysis (LCCA) to aid the Owner in the decision-making process. In addition, this Project shall provide for indoor and outdoor community amenities. These may include, but are not limited to flex space, lounge, laundry, group study areas, group living spaces, conference spaces, and exterior gathering areas. General site improvements include irrigated landscaping, roads, drives, fire lanes, potential for expansion of and connection to campus utility infrastructure.
