• 1.0 Vehicle Platform and Chassis Requirements o 1.0.1 The vehicle shall be built on an unaltered commercially available 4×4 chassis comparable in size and class to a Ford F-550 or equivalent. Factory frame rails, driveshaft, fuel lines, brake lines, suspension, and exhaust systems shall remain unmodified to maintain OEM reliability and warranty support. o 1.0.2 The vehicle shall be powered by a turbocharged diesel engine producing not less than 330 horsepower and 900 lb-ft of torque, suitable for heavy-duty response and armored applications or an equivalent engine. o 1.0.3 The vehicle shall include a 10-speed automatic transmission (or manufacturer’s current equivalent) with tow/haul mode. o 1.0.4 The vehicle shall include a two-speed, electronic shift-on-the-fly 4×4 transfer case. o 1.0.5 The rear differential shall be limited-slip or locking with a ratio optimized for mixed on- and off-road use. o 1.0.6 The braking system shall be four-wheel disc anti-lock brakes (ABS). o 1.0.7 The suspension shall be a heavy-duty system with reinforced shocks and upgraded springs capable of supporting the added armor load. o 1.0.8 The wheels and tires shall consist of 20-inch or greater assemblies with run-flat inserts and off-road rated tires equivalent to 335/80R20 or better. o 1.0.9 The vehicle shall demonstrate full compliance with all Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS). o 1.0.10 The vehicle shall utilize a rear leaf-spring assembly that will support the added weight from the armor but not void any factory warranties. • 2.0 Ballistic and Blast Resistance o 2.0.1 The vehicle shall be destructively tested and validated to NATO STANAG 4569 Level II ballistic and blast standards. o 2.0.2 Opaque armor shall meet or exceed NIJ Level IV (.30-06 M2 AP multi-hit) and UL 752 Level 10 (.50 cal M33 multi-hit) performance...
