Specifications include, but are not limited to: Services are needed for special education to include, but not limited to, the following: • Professional Development as determined by the North East Independent School District's Special Education Department on an as needed basis including but not limited to the areas of: Accommodations, Assistive Technology, Autism, Behavior Management, Communication, Co-Teach Programs, Differentiated Instruction, Inclusion, PEIMS, Transition and Vocational Training. • Consultants for Professional Development should have a minimum of a Master's Degree in Special Education or related field, and documented experience in teaching and/or administration of Special Ed programs. • Educational Assessments to be conducted by Educational Diagnosticians as determined by the North East Independent School District's Special Education Department on an as need basis. • It is estimated that NEISD requires approximately 80-100 educational assessments completed per month during the school year. The number of assessments is not a guarantee but an estimate based on past usage. • Graduate Assistants and School Psychology Interns provided by universities. Universities will be contracted to assign Graduate Assistants to NEISD for program training and practicum experiences. Universities will be contracted to assign School Psychology Interns to NEISD for career related work tasks and activities as required in furtherance of the School of Psychology Program. • In Home, Community, and Parent Training for students with Autism will be contracted as determined by the North East Independent School District's Special Education Department on an as need basis. ■ In Home Trainers should have a minimum of a B.A. in special education or related field, or documented training and experience with students with Autism. • Language Interpreter Services for non-English speaking parents of Special Education students as determined by the North East Independent School District's Special Education Department.
