Specifications include, but are not limited to: Northside currently services 11,400 special education students throughout the District. All secondary campuses provide a full range of special education services; elementary special education students with particular needs are clustered at specific campuses that can provide specialized services. The District is currently in need of a review of its entire Special Education operation, both at a District and a campus-level, to determine if and ensure that it is meeting legally and locally required mandates. This review should include evaluation of staffing levels and processes and procedures. Additionally, the District would like to benchmark its Special Education services against other school districts in the state.
