GenMark Dx ePlex 2 T System Product #EA001002; 2 Tower, 12 bays, 48 samples throughput (8 hours) The GenMark Dx ePlex 2 T System is needed for use by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Laboratory as replacement instrument for the current GenMark Dx XT-8 system, being discontinued by the manufacturer. The ePlex 2 T System's intended use will be for the identification and differentiation of multiple respiratory viruses from clinical specimens tested in the Viral Isolation laboratory. Test results will be used for epidemiological surveillance and outbreak investigations. The inability to secure this equipment will result in interrupted testing and identification of other respiratory viruses circulating alongside influenza and SARSCoV-2.
