Provide professional ASL interpreting services to support effective communication access during monthly Board of Trustees Meetings and/or SAW held events. These meetings are open to the public and may include participation by customers, stakeholders, and community embers who are deaf or hard of hearing. Provide qualified, certified ASL interpreters for regularly scheduled monthly SAWS Board of Trustees Meetings on-site and/or remote, as requested by SAWS. Ensure interpreters are present in person at the designated time and meeting location. Deliver interpretation for the full duration of each meeting, or as designated by SAWS staff, which may range from 1 to 4 hours. Provide more than one interpreter if needed in coordination with SAWS and the Consultant to determine the number of interpreters required to attend each meeting/event. (SAWS may request more than one interpreter be present if meeting/event is scheduled for more than one (1) hour.) Maintain and provide SAWS the name, email address, and telephone number of Consultant’s point of contact that shall be available to SAWS to request Sign Language Interpreter Services any day of the year, at any time. Confirm within one (1) hour of the SAWS’ request for services, availability to provide services communicating to SAWS by the same means of receipt of SAWS’ request. For example, if SAWS called Consultant to request services, Consultant shall call SAWS within one (1) hour to confirm their availability to perform the services. Check-in with the SAWS’ designee at least thirty (30) minutes prior to each SAWS’ requested assignment and at the end of each assignment, Consultant’s interpreters shall check- out with the SAWS department designee. Provide professional, high quality, precise, accurate and impartial services with an attention to cultural sensitivities, and to the satisfaction of SAWS and deliver to SAWS documentation of each Sign Language interpreter’s certification upon request.
