Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Guard Shack monitoring and checking visitors (where applicable). 2. Monitoring pedestrian & vehicles at entrance gate, check in all visitor on "sign in" form provided by CFM/APO/COM and guard shack interior must be maintained and organized (where applicable). 3. Guards will complete foot patrols of our campuses to include exterior door checks, ensure visitors are checking into the front office area, and report any issues or suspicious activity. 4. Guards should also ensure that gates are closed and locked (if applicable at that campus). 5. Duties also include security of assets and safety of students and staff at all times. KIPP Texas Public Schools may award a single contract for all District security needs in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, DFW, or may at its discretion, award separate contracts to different contractors for the provision of services to individual regions, and for particular events and after hour needs. 1. The Contractor must employ qualified personnel with adequate training and experience and in adequate numbers, so that shifts can be filled at all times. 2. Unarmed Guard Requirements - All Contractor staff must, be eligible to work in the United States, at a minimum, be high school graduates (or equivalent), must complete the Level II Training Course and Test, which must be completed through a licensed school and taught by a licensed instructor, and be able to read and write English satisfactorily and must have at least 1 year of security experience or military law enforcement experience with honorable discharge. 3. Armed Guard Requirements - All Contractor staff, must be eligible to work in the United States, must be 21 years of age, have no felony convictions or any crime involving the illegal use of weapons, Mental competency, Drug Testing, Texas driver’s license, must complete the Level II certificate and must complete the Level III classroom training & firearms training, which must be completed through a licensed school and taught by a licensed instructor and in accordance with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
