Lamar University Beaumont, Texas is seeking a security company that is able to provide a qualified (state licensed) uniformed unarmed security officer (SO) at each Residence Hall. The purpose is to check residence status of persons entering the premises and the enforcement of various housing rules. 1.2 Needs to meet the following criteria - professional uniformed presence - unarmed - effective written and verbal communication skills - ability to complete written reports - radios that can be programmed to communicate with LUPD - 5 positions from 4 PM 4 AM, each day of the week Positions are full from August May. During parts of August and May, and all of June and July, the positions may be reduced or not filled depending on the needs of the University. No additional specifications were given.
