6.1.1 The proposal shall reflect an all-inclusive hourly rate for security guards. 6.1.2 The proposal rate shall be based on a minimum hourly base wage of $7.25 actually paid to security guards, plus all markups including, but not necessarily limited to payroll taxes, insurance, workers’ compensation, profit, etc. Wage is imposed in order to upgrade contract security services provided to the District, specifically to allow the offeror to provide security guards that are more experienced and reduce the amount of turnover among guards. 6.1.3 Overtime will be paid to security guards for authorized weekly hours worked in excess of (40) forty hours at a District location only. 6.1.4 The District will not be responsible for payment of overtime if security guard has worked elsewhere in the city that week. 6.1.5 Reimbursement of overtime caused for any reason other than the expressed request of District’s designated representative, shall not be made. 6.1.6 The offeror must maintain a staffed office that can be reached, during normal working hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm) and must be available after hours, seven days per week, through an answering service or cell phone. 6.1.7 The offeror shall furnish all trained personnel, uniforms, equipment, materials and supervision with the exception of the District-furnished facilities, equipment and materials specified herein to satisfactorily maintain the physical security of the District campuses as designated. 6.1.8 In addition to physical security, the offeror may be required to perform such other services as are set forth herein, if any. 6.1.9 Services performed under this contract shall be subject to inspection and acceptance by the District’s representative or his duly authorized representative. The Director/Chief of Police and Security Services is the District’s designated representative responsible for the physical security. 6.1.10 Security guards are used to supplement the Office of Police Services when excessive vacancies exist. Security guards will be requested on an “as needed” basis, as determined by the District Chief of Police or his designated representative. 6.1.11 The Office of Police Services will give the Offeror reasonable notice when a need exists. The District Chief of Police or his designated representative will indicate which location the security guard is needed and the required hours of work.
