1. Demolition: Existing asphalt roadway and sidewalks must be removed and disposed of as part of the bid proposal. 2. Grading and sloping: Once clear, it is graded and sloped for proper water drainage and flow. 3. Subbase: If the ground is not properly stabilized prior to paving, asphalt is brought in, a subbase is installed to provide a stable surface able to support the pavement above. The thickness and level of compaction of the base must support the street and traffic load. 4. Concrete application: 6 in thick / 30 feet wide at a 2% slope from center, complete with curb and gutters, and 4-foot wide sidewalks on both sides of street Concrete street, 30 feet wide, and a 4’ wide sidewalk on the west side of the road. • All driveway approaches will need to be replaced in concrete. (exceptions may apply) • All drainage that requires culverts and other means will need to be included to prevent standing water and flooding. (please include drainage in bid) direction of flows may be determined by contractor.
