Specifications include, but are not limited to: GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 5.1 The University expects the successful Vendor to provide the campus community with a shuttle bus program that is Reliable and Professionally Managed. It further expects the program to project a positive image for the campus through friendly, courteous drivers, an immaculate fleet and guaranteed on-time performance. A. Current Services, Ridership and Hours of Operation. The shuttle bus system maintains five (5) routes operating five (5) days a week for 13-16 hours a day. Average daily ridership is as follows Bayou Oaks Line 825, Robertson Line 1000, ERP 937, Oaks Line 2050, Campus loop 175. Refer to Attachment B for a route map. B. Proposed Service Vehicles. 1. UH will require the successful contractor to provide bid options for two service options. Option 1 Operate a minimum of sixteen (16) new or like new (either before mid-life or immediately after mid-life overhaul/refurbishment) 30 transit style busses similar to that shown in Attachment C. Estimated annual service hours of 37,600. In addition to the 16 buses contractor shall have a minimum of 3 buses of similar size and quality ready for use during downtimes of the original 16 buses. One bus shall be equipped to use CNG. Option 2 Operate a minimum of eleven (11) new or like new (either before mid-life or immediately after mid-life overhaul/refurbishment) 30 transit style busses similar to that shown in Attachment C. Estimated annual service hours of 24,000. In addition to the 11 buses contractor shall have a minimum of 2 buses of similar size and quality ready for use during downtimes of the original 11 buses. One bus shall be equipped to use CNG.
