The State of Texas, by and through THC, seeks competitive proposals to develop and deliver training based on the Collaborating with Texas Tribes Workbook. This project includes creating and conducting a series of in-person workshops and a virtual training webinar or video. The training will provide practical, accessible instruction for museum professionals, archeologists, Tribal partners, and other cultural resource stakeholders on how to implement the workbook’s principles. The goal is to equip users with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively apply the workbook in their daily work and decision-making processes. The training must provide attendees with the practical knowledge on how to incorporate Indigenous perspectives in exhibit development and artifact care. Additionally, the training should provide tools to implement the workbook’s guidance on handling and caring for artifacts during excavation, temporary custody, curation, and exhibition.
