7.1 Scope of Services to be Performed The required services to be provided are linen and laundry services for Rio Grande State Center. Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, transportation, equipment, materials, and supplies, as necessary. The awarded contractor shall be responsible for supervision, clean up and disposal, and must have all applicable permits, licenses, and insurance coverages. Contractor shall provide laundry services for the following: Linen – Flat twin sheets, fitted twin sheets, standard pillowcases, blanket spreads, mattress covers, standard bath towels, standard hand towels, standard wash cloths and any other linen items. a) Contractor shall provide laundry services for linen that is in isolation bags. b) Contractor shall provide daily pickup and delivery (Monday through Friday) at 9:00am c) Contractor shall provide linen carts. d) Contractor shall drop off clean linen in clean linen carts and in small bundles wrapped with clear wrap to allow Designated Facility staff to inspect. If any items are found to still be dirty, the items will be returned to the Contractor and the Contractor will be responsible for re-cleaning the items at NO additional cost to the Facility. e) Contractor shall pick up all soiled linen from the designated laundry area. f) Contractor shall provide emergency linen services within 24 hours of notification by facility. g) Contractor shall be able to continue services in the event of equipment downtime or natural disaster. h) Contractor shall provide a list of chemicals and detergents that are utilized for services, to the facility’s appropriate designee. i) Contractor shall provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals and detergents utilized for services, to the facility’s appropriate designee. j) Contractor shall maintain a water temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit for laundering of linen. k) Contractor shall maintain 200 degrees Fahrenheit for appropriate drying of linen. l) Contractor shall deliver all linen to the designated laundry area.
