Specifications include, but are not limited to: The consulting agency will perform four (4) quarterly data audits throughout the year. The audits shall be performed on-site and will consist of periodic reviews of contact data in order to ensure that validity and reliability issues are not affecting traffic contact data. The audits shall also ensure that the DPS is not collecting or reporting inaccurate data or under/over counted data. Further, the audits should aim at measuring the data-related components in place regarding the Texas Racial Profiling Law. Each audit will review a representative sample of traffic citations and compare these to internal tracking mechanisms. This will validate the data being collected and subsequently, analyzed. A letter relevant to all audit findings shall be produced and addressed to the Chief of Police or designee once each audit is completed
