Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1 Provide a general over view of the Library Reading Challenges solution from the perspective of a patron and a staff member 1.2 Provide minimum hardware/software specifications needed for a user to successfully interface with the Library Reading Challenges solution. 1.2.1 Requirements for a desktop or laptop user that utilizes either Microsoft Windows, Apple OSX, or Linux operating systems. 1.2.2 Requirements for a mobile phone or tablet user that utilizes either Apple iOS, Android, or Kindle devices. 1.3 The Fort Worth Public Library desires to meet all of the following end user requirements. Address each of the following end user requests: 1.3.1 Users can register without providing an email address, age or birthdate 1.3.2 Users can select a default language of English or Spanish 1.3.3 Users can setup family accounts for all family members; feature would allow a parent to manage reading times without maintaining multiple logins. 1.3.4 Users can track reading progress with built-in timer 1.3.5 Users can share book reviews and recommendations 1.3.6 Users can export reading challenges to paper format for offline tracking 1.3.7 Users are allowed to opt in and out of text/email notifications; users can customize the frequency settings for these notifications 1.4 The Fort Worth Public Library desires to meet all of the following system wide requirements. Address each of the following end system wide requests: 1.4.1 Solution should allow for the creation of unique reading challenges. (Ex: Fort Worth Mayor’s Summer Reading Challenge, winter and spring reading challenges for different ages) 1.4.2 Solution should suggested titles to users but suggestions should be limited to those in the Fort Worth Public Library catalog. 1.4.3 Solution should allow users quick access to the Fort Worth Public Library catalog to place items on hold. 1.4.4 Solutions should allow users to add items from the Fort Worth Public Library catalog on their reading lists 1.4.5 Solution should allow for the ability to conduct virtual prize drawings that are associated with unique reading challenges. 1.4.6 Solutions should be able to interface with Library social media accounts
